The University of Twente is offering scholarships to intelligent and talented students from EU|EEA and non EU|EEA countries who are interested in applying and enrolling for MSc programs at the university.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
The University of Twente Scholarships (UTS) was established for students who have excelled academically and socially. These scholarships are not available for present University of Twente Bachelor students and Dutch students.
Every year about 30 scholarships are available and are awarded to students for one year study which could be extended for a second year if results are good.
For a two-year study-program students could receive extra UTS of a similar amount equal to that given in the first year to cover expenses of the second year. This will only be done when students meet the following requirements:
Should have made a result of 7 out of 10 at the end of the third quartile of the first year program
Should have gotten at least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year program
Should have gotten at least 90% of European Credits before the second year program starts
A benefit of the scholarship is that a student can receive about 6000-25000 a year
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the scholarship, students should meet the following requirements:
Should have gained provision admission to a master program before December 15 for the first stage or before March 15 for second stage
Should include a motivational letter when applying which should be about 250-500 words and should include plans and goals of the students, what they studied in the past and why they chose University of Twente
Meet the conditions for applying for a visa
Should meet up with the English language test which is IELTS 6.5 or TOEFLiBT of 90 or an extra 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 20
Should not be eligible for a Dutch study grant
If the student is doing a pre-master program, he or she can apply for the scholarship but must complete the program with a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10 to be eligible.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Application for stage one has closed which was December 15 2015 for course admission and December 30 2015 for scholarship application. Applications for stage two will open February 1 2016. Application deadline for course admission is March 15 2016 while the deadline for scholarship application will be announced later on.
