The University of Queensland in Australia will from 2016 be offering every year the MBA Women Scholarships for international students.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships are meant for all Australian, Permanent Residents or New Zealand citizen as well as all International students.
Beginning in 2016, the University of Queensland will offer 50% tuition-fee waiver scholarships every year to outstanding women for starting the MBA program.
The university will award about four scholarships. The scholarship is to last for the duration of two years. If the recipient of the scholarship spends more than two years as stated in the scholarship offer then he or she will be responsible for the tuition fee for courses remaining.
The scholarship will be retained by the recipient at the end of each semester for a period of two years if he or she
Have good and satisfactory results
Maintains a satisfactory rate of continuous enrollment for a period of two years and continue being an MBA student.
The Head of School and Academic Dean will be the only people to determine what is deemed as satisfactory for the scholarship to be retained
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships are awarded for Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the scholarship
Should have submitted an application and be eligible to receive an unconditional offer for admission. This means you should have the necessary entry requirement including work experience and English language requirement
Should write a statement of not more than 1000 words stating why you want to study at the university, the value you will bring to the program, your career goals in the long term and evidence of your involvement in your community and your leadership skills
Provide two written references which should be a character reference and a professional reference from a present or former manager or supervisor
Should nothave been awarded any other MBA scholarship from the University of Queensland
It should be noted that that scholarships are competitive and are awarded based on the discretion of the MBA director who has final decision
