UNIVERSITY OF PENNYSYLVANIA
Popularly called “Penn and UPenn”, the University of Pennsylvania is an Ivy League college situated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is one of the foremost private research universities in the United States of America and even the world. The college which was built by Benjamin Franklin is one of the 14 founding fathers of the Association of American Universities.
Although the founder intended for her to become a place of practical education dealing in commerce and public service when he created the institute in 1740, the University of Pennsylvania has grown to become a multidisciplinary college concentrating on diverse faculties. The “U.S. News & World Report” for 2017 as ranked the University of Pennsylvania in 8th place among other national universities in the USA. “U.S. News” has also crowned Penn on of the most popular national Universities in its list alongside “The Princeton Review” placing Penn in its“Dream Colleges list”.
Penn was placed as 18th in the world in the 16/17 “QS World University Rankings and Academic Ranking of World Universities” while she was ranked 13th by the “Times Higher Education World University Rankings”.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UNDERGRADUATES;
HOME SCHOOL APPLICANTS; For all high school students within the country, it is a necessity to provide a reliable transcript that shows all academic details, complete description of courses completed and their syllabus content, compilations of grades, ratings and textbooks used in these courses. This information would help the admission board understand the program you have undergone properly.
Evidence of grades for all standardized tests you wish to add to your portfolio should also be provided alongside references and recommendations by teachers and instructors.
A high school report completed by home school instructor, guidance counselor or family can also be sent.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS; Before the day of entrance into the university, international students must have completed the normal secondary schooling that would be acceptable for entrance into a university in their own country of residence.
The University of Pennsylvania makes admission decisions before most national examination results are released, in that scenario, the applicant is expected to send their current school grades alongside the school’s prediction for their external examinations result. While seeking for admission, students are also expected to be enrolled in tutorials that help them prepare for their national exams.
A notable performance on some nationally administered secondary education examinations may give candidate a better chance to apply for the advanced standing at University of Pennsylvania.

GRADUATES;
University of Pennsylvania has a broad graduate section with twelve schools and over 120 programs under its wings.
For master applicants, a compilations of previous courses including a bachelors honors degree should be presented, some department require higher grades than other while more excellent students will be picked based on the amount of applicants in a particular course.
For PhD applicants, score from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is expected and would be judged based on department and amount of excellent applicants. The GRE code of University of Pennsylvania is “2926”.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English is the verbal means of teaching at the University of Pennsylvania, all international applicants who are not from English speaking countries or haven’t their last four years of education in English have to give results of “Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)”.
