The University of Michigan is accepting applications from international students for its Yossi Schiff memorial scholarships.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships are for brilliant international students to enroll for postgraduate studies. It is meant to improve understanding internationally and provide academic opportunities by providing scholarships for foreign graduate students who need it from developing countries in Asia and Africa. A lot of scholarships will be given and as for the duration, this will be offered just once.
Normally a student will be given only one award, but in special cases a student could be given a second award. The scholarship offers a one off offer of $25000 as an allowance.
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships are awarded to study the following courses: medicine, public health, nursing, humanities, public policy, social sciences and environmental sciences.
ELIGIBILITY
USA citizens are not eligible
Permanent residents in the USA are not eligible
International graduates from Asia and Africa with F-1 or J-1 visas can apply
Note: Students are selected based on excellent academic records and professional capability.

Before applying, which is done online students should be nominated by their programs and should include the following documents:
Curriculum Vitae (Cv)
A research statement
A personal statement
Two letters of application including one from a faculty advisor
