Sheffield Hallam University in the UK is offering The Transform Together Scholarships to students from non-EU countries to enroll for studies in the 2015/16 or 2016/2017 academic year.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships will be awarded to students who are very qualified and show academic, personal or professional accomplishments on their application forms. Applicants who are successful will be given a certificate to acknowledge their achievement after they have enrolled for their chosen course.
Several scholarships are expected to be awarded and are meant to cover the entire duration of the program. Some of the benefits that can be derived from the scholarship include:
Covers tuition fee for one year for full time postgraduate programs
A 50% tuition fee discount will be given every year for an undergraduate program which is subject to progressing successfully.
Also there are other incentives to be given which are yet to be confirmed but include:
A chance to become an alumni ambassador back in your home country
You will be able to improve your learning and social experience with other scholars through a program of events
You will be given a hoodie from the university
It should be noted that applicants who are successful will be expected to represent the University through various activities during the academic year and after graduation
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships will be awarded for undergraduate and postgraduate courses available at the university
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the scholarships, interested applicants should meet the following requirements:
Postgraduate applicants should have obtained a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in your honours degree and should meet the minimum requirements for the course. Also transcripts should be added to scholarship applications.
Undergraduate applicants should achieve or exceed the entry criteria for the course
Applicants should have obtained an unconditional or conditional offer to study a full-time postgraduate course at the University
Should have obtained a minimum of IELTS 6.0 that is 5.5 in all fields or its equivalent
Should be financing your studies
Should be acknowledged as an international student for fees reasons
Should be able to pay for any additional fees that may be needed when studying your course such as field trips

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Deadline for application for programs starting in September 2016 is May 31 2016 while for programs starting in January 2016 the deadline is November 1 2016
Applicants will be informed if they have been successful about a month after the deadline
