Admission requirement for study in Turkey
Students who wish to apply for undergraduate education in Turkey must have completed their secondary education which is equivalent to that of the passing certificate for high school in Turkey from their respective home country.
Secondly the students are also required to take the admission test for foreign students (YOS). The (YOS) consist of two tests
i.The basic learning assessing test that assesses abstract reasoning. The questions have minimal dependence of language and the explanations that need to be selected are written in English and Turkish.
ii.The second is the Turkish Language proficiency test. This assesses the candidate’s written comprehension of the Turkish language.
This test is usually conducted in the month of June every year before the start of the academic year. Foreign students who wish to pursue higher education at the graduate and the post graduate level can apply directly the university or Higher education institution of choice. A student also requires a visa and valid passport for studying in the country.
Language requirements- Though Turkish is the official language of the state, English, French, German courses are taught in universities. For students who do not have any knowledge of the Turkish language special courses are offered for students.
