Cost of living and study in Austria
The monthly living cost in Austria is estimated at €700 to €800 to cover the cost of accommodation, food, travels etc
For Universities and Universities of Arts there is a €363.36 (2010) fee per semester. This fee is waived for those who are EU/EEA & Swiss nationals. For Universities of Applies Sciences the fee is also placed at €363.36 per semester and is required to be paid by all students. Private universities have higher tuition rates which can differ from one to another. The academic year in Austria is split into two semesters: winter and summer. The academic year begins around October 1st and ends around September 30th of the following year.
