Today, I’am going to talk about study requirements for both undergraduate and postgraduaate study abroad. But before I start, let me distinguish between these two study levels, for some who may not know the difference.
Undergraduate study – This is the first degree you study towards at university. Or a study undertaken in order to gain an associate degree or bachelor degree. An ndergraduate student is one who is studying for his/her first bachelor’s degree.
Postgraduate study – This involves learning and studying for degrees or other qualifications for which a first or bachelor’s degree generally is required and is generally considerd to be a part of higher education.
Lets now look at the study requirements fur both undergraduate and postgraduate study.

Undergraduate study requirements
Most universities conduct entrance examination for students wishing to study at the undergraduate level. In Finland for example, entrance examination is the sole bases for admission into undergraduate programmes. But generally, most universities accept O’level result with a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects.
In addition, some schools might require additional certificates like GMAT, GRE, TOEFL etc.
Note that the requirements for study varies from school to school. However, its important that you contact your school directly to get more information.
Postgraduate study requirements
To study at the posstgradute level, you must have the following documents;
- First degree result and transcript
- TOELF, GRE, GMAT and IELTS result
- Admission essay/statement of p urpose
- Reference letters [usually two]
