How can I apply for admission?
Basically, there are two ways of applying for admission. You can choose to apply by yourself or through an authorized agent. If you are applying by yourself, make sure you check the university website for important information like, program type, admission requirements, application times/deadlines etc before you submit your application. The school will either ask you to submit the application online or via post. Make sure you send all required documents to help the school process your application. If you are applying through an agent, ensure you use an agent authorized by the school or any one that’s credible.
What are the application times and deadlines for admissions?
The application times and deadlines vary from school to school. So its important that you contact your school and find out the specific time of application.
How can I book for accommodation when I’m ready to travel for my study?
Once you have gotten your admission and visa, the next thing to do is to book for your accommodation so you will not be stranded when you get to your school. You can book for your accommodation online by contacting your school and telling them the type of accommodation you need. There are different types of accommodation for students, like the hostel, homestay and offcampus. Once you’ve told your school, the type of accommodation you need, they will help you with the arrangement and the payment too.
What’s the average cost of accommodation?
The cost of accommodation depends on factors like the type of accommodation and the location. For most schools, accommodation cost range from $100 to $500 per month. You will need to contact your school and find out the cost of their accommodation.
Can I pay for my tuition fees on arrival?
Well, this depends on the school you are applying to. Some schools demand that students pay either part or full tuition fees before leaving their home country, while others allow for payment of tuition fees on arrival.
Do schools allow for installmental payment of tuition fees?
Yes, many schools have different fee payment plans for their students. Some schools allow for payment in two or more installments, while others accept payment on a semester bases. Contact your school to find out the different fee payment plans available for students.
What are the different tuition fee payment methods?
Most schools allow students to pay their tuition fees by bank transfer, wire transfer, cheque or credit card.
How can I pay for my admission application fees?
You can pay for your application fee by using a credit card or by wire transfer to the schools account.
I’m applying for a graduate program; how can I prepare my motivation letter/statement of purpose?
A statement of purpose or motivation letter is needed if you are applying for a graduate program like a masters program. It’s a letter you write stating your academic achievements, motivations, extracurricular activities, why you choose a particular study program, How the study program relates to what you studied in your first or second degree etc. You can check for samples online and use it as a guide in preparing yours.
I have applied for admission but haven’t heard from the school; how can I know if I’m admitted or not?
If you have sent your admission application to a particular school and have not heard from them, you can always contact them to find out your admission status. You can do this by sending them mail, quoting your application number or putting a call across to them.
Can I get a cheap or low tuition university where tuition fees range from $2000 to $4000 per year?
Yes, many universities especially in Europe charge low tuition fees in the range of $2000 to $4000 per year. This country includes but not limited to the following; Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic etc.
How can I apply for and win a scholarship?
Most scholarship providers focus on your extracuricullar which will be stated on your scholarship essay. Endeavor to provide as many extracurricular activities as possible. Also write about your community involvement, how you have impacted positively on the lives of people in your community. Once you’ve prepared a nice scholarship essay stating these facts, you should be sure to get a scholarship.
Can I get a fully funded scholarship, if yes, which organization offers it?
Fully funded scholarships are scholarships where the provider takes care of everything including tuition fees, accommodation , flight etc. These scholarships are very competitive and are only awarded by governments or top organizations like Commonwealth, Chevening, Greenwich and MasterCard foundation.
If I can’t get a scholarship, can I study free in a school?
Yes, you can study free in some schools if you meet the admission requirements. Countries like Germany, Finland and Norway are operating tuition free education to all students including international students.

What are the requirements to study free in these countries?
The admission requirement to study in tuition free university depends on factors like your course of study and where you come from. But generally, for undergraduate study, a good high school result will be needed. Some schools will ask for A’level results from applicants in certain countries. Fr postgraduate study, a good first or second degree result with transcripts. Applicants whose first language is not English will have to proof their proficiency in the use of the language by presenting language certificates like IELTS or TOELF.
If I study in a tuition free university, will I still need to take care of my living expenses?
Yes, it’s the responsibility of the student to take care of his/her living expenses. The government will only take care of the tuition fees. That’s why it’s called tuition fee education.
