ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The internship program occurs three times a year and with a finance of about 30 billion according to the 2014 budget, the Asian Development Bank is by a distance one of the largest financial institutions in the continent of Asia. The program is well funded and this affords quite a number of postgraduate and PhD candidates to be given positions in the program every year.
The program entails participants working together on several projects and they will be supervised by experienced corporate professionals which will help and enable them obtain knowledge on development financing.
They will also get the opportunity to know more about the work of the Asian Development Bank via intensive research and will also contribute to the work of AFDB in several ways.
The internship program could last for a minimum duration of 8 weeks while the maximum duration is 6 months. Participants involved will receive little financial support to assist them cover and take care of their basic expenses in line with their calendar throughout the duration of the internship program.

The panel that has been handed the task of selecting candidates for the internship program takes very seriously the issue of integrity as well as transparency when selecting qualified candidates. For an applicant or candidate to be considered for selection for the internship program, they must fulfil and meet the following requirements:
- Applicants should have a masters degree or PhD qualification or should have enrolled in the program before applying
- Applicants should have obtained vital years of professional experiences and should also have studied academic courses related to the work of the Asian Development Bank
- Applicants should be very fluent in speaking English as well as good in writing English

The first batch of application starts in June and lasts from January 1 to February 28 2016. The second batch of application starts in December and lasts from August 1 to September 30 2016.
