ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is meant for excellent young students from developing countries who will be financed by the OFID program. Scholarship is awarded in development-related discipline for master studies. The scholarship can be taken Worldwide.
Successful applicants of the scholarship will receive about $50000. The scholarship will be taken at any accredited academic institution. The funds will be used over two years towards finishing the master’s degree.

FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarship is awarded in development-related discipline.
When submitting application, candidates should be between the ages of 23-32
Should have finished or about finishing their graduate program
Should have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Should be a citizen of a developing country (except OFID member countries)
Should choose a course that is related to OFID status such as environment (desertification), economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development) or other related science and technology fields.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications are done online and must include the following documents
Applicant’s scanned copy of passport
Applicant’s scanned copy of degree certificate
A scanned letter of acceptance from chosen academic institution, showing course studied, admission offer, and period of master degree program, not lasting more than one year
Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Short essay of about 500 words, stating why you applied for the scholarship, your ambitions academically, and how you will use what you studied to develop your country
Two letters of recommendation from professors and/or lecturers at applicant’s current university
