The New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) established in 1974, has over 14,000 students. This institution is a public community college and is one of the best citadels of learning in Canada. The college has several campuses located throughout New Brunswick in Canada (Fredericton, Miramichi, St Johns, St Andrews, Woodstock and Moncton) and has its head office based in Fredericton. New Brunswick offers over 90 programs in full time, specialized full time and post graduate categories. NBCC also provides part-time courses to corporate clients who will be apprentices for the period of training.
The college is concerned with providing a warm and friendly environment for conducive learning and producing graduates who can find their place in the labor market and community. The college has pioneered a lot of projects and research initiatives for aiding both local and international students. New Brunswick community college is ranked 182 in Canada and 10227 in the world according to Cybermetrics.
In 2017 they were ranked 10271 according to Unipage World University ranking.
Concerning employment, New Brunswick has also been rated to be one of the best employers in Canada by Mediacorp Inc. They have over the years produced graduates who are prepared for the labour market and are readily employable. And according to a survey by the college in 2016, 91% of its 2015 graduates were employed in the same year. And in past years, the percentage of foreign students applying for the college has increased by 60% from over 30 countries.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
New Brunswick Community College offers programs for both local and international post-secondary students and the requirement for applying is:
For general applicants;
• The college operates by order, the list of candidates is arranged according to when the completed application was submitted.
• The application submitted must have been fully completed before submission.
• The applicant must have a higher school diploma or must be in the process of obtaining one.
• The applicant must have passed, not less than, one English proficiency test to apply for any program at Brunswick.
• Applicant must be or will turn 18 during the first year of registration
• The applicant must make sure that all the requirements for the program applied for is met.
• The applicant may also be required to produce additional information (such as medical and immunization reports, proof of age, criminal record report)
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT
Applicants who are foreign students (whose country’s first language is not English) must provide a proof of competence in speaking English such that the applicant will be able to participate in all the activities the institution has to offer. For foreign students who come from countries where English is not their first language, they will be required to provide proof of completing an English proficiency test such as;

For foreign applicants;
The New Brunswick Community College gives preference to its indigenes and has a limited amount of seats for international applicants for each academic sessions. And also the application to be submitted should include;
• An official transcript from the high school
• Letter of reference
Note, applicants who do not get a seat in the academic year they applied will be moved to a waitlist and considered at the top of that list for the next available seats. And if one applicant has applied for two programs he can forfeit the one given to him for the more preferred one as long as confirmation fees have not been paid.
APPLICATION PERIOD
The New Brunswick Community College starts accepting application weeks before the start of classes for the new session and application closes precisely three weeks before the onset of class. The entry periods for the college are January and September and the college runs a trimester program.

The New Brunswick College is not only an institution that is versatile and committed to developing competent graduates. It also offers a range of activities to help make the learning environment warm, friendly and conducive. Its also provide amenities that assist the student, no matter the condition (pregnant, nursing mother, disabled etc.), to effectively participate and learn. The college provides a suitable program for exchange students for British Columbia students and also help students in developing good leadership and civil skills. They also help graduates by employing them, and in a survey conducted in 2016, it was found that 93% of graduates were working in New Brunswick. The university is considered tourist-friendly and accommodating.
