When a student has gained admission from a school in Canada, usually the next thing to do is to start preparations on obtaining a visa. For courses that do not take longer than six months to study, a Canadian study permit will be given.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A CANADIAN STUDY PERMIT VISA
Application can be done in two ways, Online and document application. Online application is the preferred and recommended mode of application. When applying a credit/debit card will be needed and using a scanner or camera to make electronic copies of your documents. The type of documents required depends on the country, but basically the following documents are required.
A LETTER OF ADMISSION FROM A WELL KNOWN SCHOOL IN CANADA
This is a letter showing that a student has been offered admission. It includes information such as course to be studied, tuition fee, duration of programs among others. The letter can be sent online or by post.
APPLICATION PACKAGE FOR CANADIAN STUDENT VISA
The package can be obtained from the Canadian embassy or Consulate in your home country and can also be downloaded from the CIC website. If you choose to get the package online, you will be asked questions to determine if you are eligible to apply online. If found eligible you will be give a personal checklist code valid for 60 days and will be needed when submitting online. For future purposes the page containing your code should be printed.
After all these you can now submit your application by creating your CIC account and enter your code. You then get a document check list that enables you upload and send your documents to CIC.
After payments of tuition fees and your forms are filled and ready you can now submit your application.

EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL STABILITY
Applicants will have to show that they will be able to support themselves financially. Payment of school fees and accommodation should be available, further evidence can be shown through bank statement, bank draft as well as evidence of funding if you have a scholarship.
