The Griffith International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships are being offered by Griffith University in Australia to excellent international students to enrol for undergraduate programs at the school.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships are meant for secondary school graduates and they must come from countries other than New Zealand and/or Australia. The following institutions are taking part in the scholarship program, they are Griffith University, South East Queensland, Australia.
The number of scholarships to be awarded has not been stated. The duration of the scholarship awarded will be for a period of two semesters.
The scholarship comes with value to the recipient and this includes receiving payment of $5000. This payment will be done in two installments of $2500 each. This is meant for the recipient’s tuition fees for the first and second semester of the first year of the program.
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships are awarded for all undergraduate courses except online, non-award, offshore delivery and where students are given advanced standing or credit for previous programs.
Every year not more than one scholarship will awarded to applicants for the following degrees:
Bachelor of Exercise Science, Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours, Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science, Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Technology, Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Medical Science
Applicants interested in this scholarship should have the following requirements:
Should have the required GPA level in high school studies
Should have applied to Griffith University and have met entry requirements for the chosen degree program, including results of previous study and proficiency in English language as stated in Griffith University’s Undergraduate Entry Requirements
Should be enrolling to be a full-time student in an undergraduate program at Griffith University
In addition, applicants should also have the following requirements to be able to be selected for the scholarship program:
Certified copies of documents showing excellent academic records
Two reference letters revealing leadership quality and personal character
A personal letter stating why the applicant has applied for the scholarship, the chosen program of study at Griffith University, and any other information they feel can improve their application for the scholarship

Deadline for applications are two which November 30 2016 for semester 1 which starts in January/February and April 30 2016 for semester 2 which starts in July
It should be pointed out that applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within a month. Semester 1 will be notified at the end of December, while Semester 2 will be notified at the end of May.
