This scholarship aims to contribute to the long term objectives of developing countries to promote growth and stability. They equip recipients with skills and knowledge to drive change & contribute to the economic & social development of their own countries.
This scholarship is meant for citizens of the following countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Tanzania, South Africa and Zambia.
These are Masters, PhD or short training programs. Undergraduate degrees are not sponsored and MBA Business Administration is not allowed too. These programs must be in the priority areas which are mainly Agricultural Productivity, Extractives and Public Policy. Candidates from other chosen areas such as education, gender, health and environment may also be considered (contact us for more explanation on this). Applicants upon successful selection and completion of their studies must return home.
In addition to other selection factors, applicants are assessed for their professional and personal qualities, academic competence, and most importantly their potential to impact on development challenges in Africa.

- Awardees whose families remain in their home country may also get reunion airfare to allow tem travel home midway through their course.
