The Colombian Professor of English Fellows, Hubert H. Humphrey, Colombian Visiting Researcher and Colombian Doctoral Student awarded the Fulbright Colombia program to researchers, teachers and advanced students with excellent academic performance to complement or develop their training in the United States , make up a total of 20 places . This scholarship grants five vacancies to English language university professors or students who complete their last semesters of Bachelor’s Degree in Languages with a residence in Colombia and who are between 21 and 29 years old , in order to perfect their teaching skills Of the English language.
A cumulative average of more than 3.8 is required in completed or ongoing university studies and the following minimum qualifications in one of the international English exams in force at the time of application:
- 80 points in TOEFL IBT
- 213 on the TOEFL CBT
- 550 on the ITP TOEFL
- 6.0 on the IELTS academic exam
The proposal is to teach introductory and intermediate courses of Spanish in universities of the United States . In addition, fellows must register in two or more courses per semester – one focused on US studies. The stay in the country will be 9 months.
Host universities exonerate tuition to their courses and award one thousand dollars a month to fellows. Applicants must reside in Colombia and hold a doctorate degree or minimum provable experience of 4 years in research projects .
