To honor World Braille Day, the Commonwealth Youth Council dispatches “Unseen and Unspoken.” This is a fragment of inventive articulation of the #iamABLE crusade through the specialty of poetry.

About the Award: The topic of the opposition is “My Disability does not define me.” The subject can be deciphered in numerous ways – essayists could concentrate on accomplishments and abilities they have regardless of an incapacity, or positive qualities they have or have created thus of their handicap. Determination Criteria:
Poem must incorporate a title and should not surpass 30 lines long (excluding the title)
Poems can’t surpass/can’t be longer than 400 words
Passages must be founded on the topic
Lyrics must be the first work of the candidate.
Passages must not have been published, distributed on a site or highlighted in as a champ in another opposition before the 31st May 2017.
Sections must be composed in English
Written by hand passages won’t be acknowledged.

Rules for accommodation
For the hearing-hindered: Submissions can be made in composed frame or gesture based communication that is video recorded. In the event that accommodation is by video recording in communication via gestures, then it must be joined by a translator (who does not consider a colleague) doing a voice-over. On the other hand the video must have subtitles.
For the outwardly weakened: Submissions can be made in braille level 2 (English) or sound and video recordings of the perusing of the verse.
All passages will be judged namelessly so the accompanying data must be given accommodation email: Name of Author(s), Date of birth, Citizenship and Title of the poem on a different sheet if posted or messaged.
