Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are now available at the Department of Philosophy, Dalhousie University in Canada. These fellowships are awarded annually at Dalhousie University to recently graduated scholars of superior academic research ability in any discipline.
Dalhousie University (commonly known as Dal) is a public research university in Nova Scotia, Canada, with three campuses in Halifax, a fourth in Bible Hill, and medical teaching facilities in Saint John, New Brunswick.
The intention of the Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship program is to attract recently graduated scholars (within the past two years) of superior research ability to Dalhousie University, and to provide the recipients with the opportunity to establish themselves as productive members of the academic community.
Award Value
The 2018 KPDF stipend will be $45,000 per annum. Fellowships include full benefits and a travel allowance for transportation to and from Halifax, a one-time research allowance ($3,000) and a conference travel grant ($1,000). Relocation Allowance would also be covered.

Eligibility and Criteria
Since these Fellowships are intended to attract new scholars to Dalhousie, those scholars already at Dalhousie are not eligible to apply. Questions of eligibility for these Fellowships are decided by the Associate Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies, to whom any inquiries may be directed.

There is no citizenship restriction.
