Being sick is not pleasant and can wear you down. They say the secret to happy life is healthy life and that is true for the most part because when healthy you seem to take on any challenge and do not shy away from giving your all-in be it at work preparing that report boss asked or at school studying for the test.

Inform Your Professors
Whether it be a routine class or a big day (as in a test or submission of an assignment) talk to your professor and let them know that after finishing here today you might be taking the day off tomorrow or drop him an email saying you need time to rest and consult the doctor.
Beforehand intimation can get you an extension on that assignment or better your attendance won’t be marked as absent. So there are perks in informing and taking your professor(s) on board.
Rest
Well, you ought to be resting ideally but in college/campus, the attractions are several; such as attending that cultural club event, or that concert that your roommates have got tickets to etc. You should compromise on all that for your own greater good.
The last thing you don’t want is your professor catching you red-handed heading for that concert to whom, earlier in the day you made an application for sick leave, right? So avail the time and dedicate it to resting.
Keep In Touch With Professors
Intimating them of your absence for the following day is one thing but to miss classes for more than a day due to ill-health, you need to keep your professor(s) in the loop. For instance, if it’s a chemistry class, the concepts and practical are hard to catch up to if you miss out on few classes.
You can always grab notes from your fellow classmates. So if your professor of the subject is in the loop of your condition, extra time after class can be arranged to make up for the loss.
Healthy Intake
Well eating healthy and that too on a college campus is a stretch, I know but imagine what if you were at home (your mom would give you soup and veggies to go through your day). Similarly, you need to take something healthy and nutritious perhaps a banana or toast bread or orange juice, would greatly help.
Ask For Some Medicine Around
It may be difficult but if you can ask around your roommates or friends, they can fetch you some medicine to ease your pain or that feeling so that you can eat and rest. Many times when you are sick your body doesn’t want or won’t accept any food or worse won’t even let you sleep.
So there might be someone who is out and about, can get you an aspirin or OTC drugs in case of flu or cold which for the meantime will keep your health under check.
Head To The Campus Doctor
There are usually on-campus clinics to provide checkups in case students’ condition worsens. You can set up and appointment in advance if you are not getting better or just walk-in and leave formalities and proper channel at the door. Nothing matters more than your health.
The above lists some methods by way of which you can stay productive while on college premises, in the case of ill-health.
