The 2016 Hochschulwerk of Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) Scholarship is now open for application. This scholarship targets Students from Lower Income Countries and is financed by the students of Witten/Herdecke University through their contributions to the Hochschulwerk, the funds are administered by the Sozialausschuss (Social Committee of the Student Union). The scholarship will take care of €700 monthly stipend for a maximum period of 24 months.
Hochschulwerk of Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) is announcing their new scholarship for international students. This funding forms a generous programme of non-repayable support to help ensure that a Witten degree is accessible to all academically talented international students regardless of family income. As tuition fees can be paid after the completion of the studies in dependence on the personal income (inverse contract between student generations), this award is intended to help with living expenses.
Eligible are students who meet the following criteria;
- Nationality of a lower income country (annual GDP/capita less than 10.000,00 $)
- Successful application for a degree programme at UW/H.
- Personal need of funding (to be confirmed by the Social Committee)
What the scholarship covers
The Hochschulwerk of Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) scholarship covers only living expenses. A monthly stipend of €700 for a maximum tenure of 24 months.

- Confirmation of enrollment.
