University scholarships are being offered to qualified Nigerian students from all the states of the country by Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a company of Chevron and operator of the Agbami Field.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship was set up to offer support in capacity building in the health and engineering sectors as a means of improving and increasing manpower in the country.
All institutions of higher learning recognized in Nigeria including private, state and federal universities are participating in the scholarship program.
The scholarship comes with benefits as successful applicants will receive financial support for their studies. Successful applications should find out the specific financial details from the sponsor of the program, Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited AND Chevron Nigeria Limited.
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships will be awarded in the following approved fields of study which are pharmacy, medicine/surgery, all fields of engineering and dentistry
ELIGIBILTY
To be eligible for the program, applicants should fulfill the following requirements
The program is open only to citizens of Nigeria
Applicants should be 100 and 200 level undergraduates from any state of the country studying in any of the courses listed above in universities in Nigeria
Interested applicants should have obtained admission either during the 2015/2016 or 2014/2015 academic session respectively.
Candidates applying for the for the Agbami scholarship are not eligible to apply for any other scholarship sponsored by Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited and it partners including the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program that has been announced at the same time with Agbami scholarship program
NOTE
Present recipients who will like to retain the scholarship must fulfill the following requirements throughout the period of the program
Pharmacy:
Student should maintain a compulsory cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60%
Should stay with a course or program offered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme
Medicine/Surgery:
Student should maintain a compulsory cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60% or obtain a PASS grade at one sitting during clinical years.
Should not fail or have to re-sit a course
Should stay with a course or program offered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme
Engineering
Student should maintain a compulsory cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60%
Should stay with a course or program offered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme
Dentistry
Student should maintain a compulsory cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60% or pass
Should stay with a course or program offered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme
HOW TO APPLY
Application is done online with scanned copies of necessary documents uploaded including admission letter, birth certificate, O’ Level result, JAMB Result, school ID card and a passport photograph with white background.
