Applications are been accepted from interested students from developing countries to study full time undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships were set up by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with the intention of providing study and research chances as well as develop the knowledge and skills of applicants to help them contribute positively to the development and improvement of their home country. Also the intention of the scholarship is help contribute to the long term development needs of Australia’s partner countries in accordance with set agreements.
The scholarships are awarded for the specified period of the program.
The scholarships cover the following costs
Total tuition fees
Textbooks and materials for studying
Covering medical costs through the overseas student health cover
Support could be provided academically to help students excel
Research students could be involved in field work
A mandatory 6 weeks program before the start of the course, giving information on life and study in Australia
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships are awarded in areas of importance related to the applicant’s country
Applicants interested in the scholarship will have to sign a contract with the Commonwealth of Australia stating that they will adhere with the regulations of the scholarship.
Applicants will have to leave Australia for at least two years after finishing their scholarship program, if applicants do not do this they will be responsible for the cost of their scholarships
HOW TO APPLY
Applications can be done by two methods, online and mail.
Online method: when applying online, applicants should scan and attach copies of relevant documents and send them as PDF files.
Mail method: When applying, applicants should check with their participating countries the documents needed to submit. These documents must be verified by relevant officials in your home country, which should be signed or stamped to show it is a real copy of the original copy.
