Applications are been accepted for the Malaysian Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) from students of Commonwealth Countries to study post graduate courses in Malaysia.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is for students from Commonwealth Countries to study post graduate courses in Malaysia. The scholarships are for applicants interested in full time degree programs in Malaysia.
The scholarships are awarded for the duration of the programs, which for master’s studies is 12-24 months depending on the course studied and about 3 years for PhD studies.
The scholarship covers the following:
Personal allowance per month
Allowance for thesis
Yearly grant for books
Yearly grant for transport locally
The Malaysian government can decide to change or review the scholarship, successful applicants will be notified of any changes.
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarship is awarded in the following fields: Biotechnology, Biosecurity and Food Safety, Infrastructure and Utility, Environmental Studies, Health not including nursing, medicine, clinical pharmacy, Science and Engineering, Agriculture and Fisheries, Economics and Islamic Finance, Information and Communication Technology.
When applying, should not be more than 45 years old
For master studies, applicants should have at least a second class upper or CGPA of 3.50 on a scale of 4.0 scale
For PhD studies, applicants should have a good master degree in a similar area of study for the PhD program or CGPA of 3.50 on a scale of 4.0 scale The PhD applicant must be well known in research and have knowledge related to the research to be carried out.
Should be in good health condition certified by a medical doctor or professional
Should have taken an English fluency test such as IELTS OR TOEFL : least scores needed: IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
