ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The program is a partnership between six European top institutes in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development with support from partners such as United States, South Africa, Ecuador, India and China. The scholarship which is part of the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus JMD programme presents an opportunity to become an expert internationally on Rural Development.
The scholarship provided by the European Union is a two year master program which is organized by 16 top international Universities in agricultural economics and rural development. Few number of scholarships are available.
The scholarship covers the following
Tuition fee for the two year program
Two year insurance policy worldwide
Support for travel and installation costs
Monthly allowance for two years
FIELD OF STUDY
The scholarship is for international students and is awarded for International master in Rural Development.
Applicants should have the official citizenship of an Erasmus+ partner country
Applicants who have met the admission requirements of IMRD and have been admitted academically by the board of management to take part in the program
For those who are not eligible
Are citizens of Erasmus+ partner country who for a period of over five years have done activities such study, train work for more than 12 months in an Erasmus +program country
Applicants who have already been given Erasmus Mundus Master Course or a joint directorate scholarship or an EMJMD
Persons who during their time in the program, receive another financed EU scholarship
Persons who in the academic year apply for more than three EMJMD scholarship programs
Applicants are selected based on the following
Factor of gender balance
Factor of geographical balance
Thesis partner University chosen
