Applications are been accepted at the university of Edinburgh for the Desmond Tutu masters scholarship for Africans. Students in Africa will be awarded the scholarship for 2015/2016 session for post graduate master’s study within the school of divinity.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The award is basically for one academic year. 5000 pounds will be given to cover maintenance cost and full overseas tuition cost. The following Countries can apply for the scholarship Mali, Namibia, Sao Tome and Principle Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Madagascar, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia Zimbabwe, Western Sahara, Uganda and Zambia) can apply for this scholarship.
The following countries are been targeted by the scholarship they include Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Algeria, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Bostwana, Equatorial Guinea, Libya Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, and Liberia.
The scholarship is based on merit and will be given to students with a first class or 2:1 honours bachelors degree equal to a UK degree.
A student should have accepted an offer or be ready to accept an offer from the university
Consideration will be given to the financial conditions of students so that their academics are not affected.

Scholarship will be given for most courses at the school of Divinity at the university of Edinburgh
