The University of British Columbia Canada is accepting applications from international students for its UBC vantage awards program.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The program was created to financially assist students who are interested in the UBC program and are academically qualified.
The program for entry level students consists of the following awards.
UBC Vantage College Excellence Award: This is given to students that start their undergraduate program at UBC in the UBC Vantage One Program. The award covers the student’s program and living costs. The student’s financial need determines the value of the award, also the award is based on the student maintaining in top quartile of the program and his or her status as an international student in Canada is maintained. The awards will be reviewed yearly based on the student’s academic progress and financial need. The award will be renewed until completion of degree.
UBC Vantage College Entrance Award: This is given to students that start their undergraduate program at UBC in the UBC Vantage One Program. The award covers the student’s program. The student’s financial need and academic merit will be taking into consideration. The award is not renewable.
UBC Vantage College Outstanding Student Award: . The student’s financial need and academic merit will be taking into consideration. There are about 61 awards available and about $6000 is given to excellent students registered in the UBC Vantage Program.
To be eligible for the program students must
Show they are capable academically
Show they require financial support
Be nominated by a member of society or school
Be entering the UBC program from secondary school

Awards are available for courses in the UBC Vantage One Program

The deadline for submission of applications is January 30th 2015
By February 13 2015 the school will confirm if applications have been received and by June 1 2015 students will know if they have been granted an award.
