ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships are meant for international students at undergraduate, master s and PhD level. The programs are in conjunction and partnership with well known universities in Taiwan.
The scholarship offers the following:
Undergraduate student: will receive NT$144,000 yearly to cover expenses like rent, food, books, transport, insurance and others.
Mater’s student: will receive NT$180,000 yearly to cover expenses like rent, food, books, transport, insurance and others.
PhD student: will receive NT$204,000 to cover expenses like rent, food, books, transport, insurance and others.
The duration of each program
Undergraduate program not more than four years
Master’s program not more than two years
PhD program not more than four years
FIELD OF STUDY
Scholarships are awarded in the following fields Humanities and social science, science and technology, public health and medicine (which includes healthcare administration, nursing e.t.c) , engineering, sustainable agriculture development, private sector development.
Should not be a citizen of republic of China
Must meet the requirements of the partner university chosen
Should not have any other scholarship like a government sponsored scholarship, during the same year the TaiwanICDF scholarship starts.
Should not have been rusticated from a Taiwanese university or had a scholarship withdrawn by Taiwan government agency
Should meet all requirements for a residency permit or visa
HOW TO APPLY
Application is done online. Applicants should submit a signed, printed copy including all relevant documents to the embassy or representative in their country.
Applicants can only apply for a program at a time and should submit by themselves another application to the universities they have chosen by post before their deadlines. Click here to contact the scholarship provider for more information on how to apply
Application deadline is March 16 2015
Applicants will be informed of their status around 30th June. Successful applicants will have to sign the acceptance letter or their scholarship will be withdrawn and given to applicants on the waiting list.
