MMDP Full Scholarships for Developing Countries, 2015

Applications are been accepted from developing countries for the Migration Management Diploma Program (MMDP) full scholarships in Netherlands. Ten full scholarships are to be given to government officials from forty developing countries with a minimum experience of three years in the area of asylum and/or migration by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The MMDP scholarship is available for government officials that have worked in areas of asylum and/or migration with 3 years experience.

The MMDP is a course for three months created for civil servants and practitioners working in the areas of asylum and/or migration.

Well known scholars such as Nicolaas de Zwaager, Anja Wiesbrok, Hein de Haas, and Ronald Skeldon provide classes within the MMDP discussing on a lot of issues concerning migration.

The MMDP provides an avenue for people getting to interact with others courtesy field trips around Europe which involves a trip to EU institutions to Brussels, intergovernmental agencies in Geneva, Dutch ministries in The Hague, United Nations and Schiphol airport.

The scholarship includes the following:

A large amount for excursions

No tuition fee

An amount given monthly to cover living costs such as accommodation, feeding, transport and the rest

Cover the costs of visa and an economy class ticket.

The scholarship is meant for students from the following Countries

Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, China, D.R.Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea-Conakry, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, and Moldova. Although the following countries can also apply

Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uganda


Should show proof that they have three years experience in areas of asylum and/or migration while working with government.

Should have a letter from their employers stating they will still be employed and be paid during the duration of the programme.
