University of Applied Sciences, Rhine-Waal does not charge tuition fees (neither for German nor for international students). Students will only have to pay a semester fees of € 251.46. Students will also take care of their living expenses for the duration of their study. This amount is estimated at 600 to 700 Euro per month and will cover expenses such as food, books, transportation etc.
To study in Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, you should have a so-called “Hochschulzugangsberechtigung” (HZB), or higher education entrance qualification. This lets applicants show that their educational background or professional qualification allows them to study in Germany, i.e. they have the necessary higher education entrance qualification to register for a course. Since the admissions requirements for bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes vary by country, it’s advisable that you contact the school and find out your country specific requirements before you start your application.
The University of Applied Sciences Rhine-Waal offer courses that are taught in English and German languages. To study in English, you must fulfill the language requirement for your course. The university only accepts IELTS or TOEFL certificates as valid proof of English proficiency.
To study in German language, students will be expected to have adequate knowledge of German language. The accepted language proficiency test are DSH and TestDaF. The TestDaF can be completed in your home country while the DSH can only be taken in Germany.
