ETH excellence scholarship programs to support students with academic excellence and who have interest in having a master’s degree are been offered by ETH Zurich. The program is open to national and international students. There are two types of scholarship programs available. There is the master scholarship program where students receive a little token during their master’s degree program and could also be awarded assistantship. There is also the Excellence scholarship and opportunity program where students are given full living and feeding costs.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is given to students in Switzerland and international students. The Excellence scholarship and opportunity program is made up of a grant that includes tuition fee waiver as well as taking care of study and living costs. The scholarship starts when the students begin their master’s program which lasts about three or four semesters. The scholarship is given without considering the financial state of the candidate.
The master scholarship program is made up of a grant that include tuition fee waiver as well as a little token for study and living costs of about CHF 11000. There is also the offer of an assistantship which starts from the second semester and attracts a payment of CHF 600 per month or a scholarship of between CHF 1500-3000 per semester can be provided by the department.
The Rector of ETH makes the final decision of awarding scholarships in the Excellence scholarship and opportunity program and the master scholarship program. Also the amount of funds available determines the number of scholarships given.
The scholarship programmes are open to national and international students with good academic records from the ETH and other universities with the interest of having their master’s degree at ETH.
Must have a very good result in their Bachelor’s degree
Students should be among the best in their Bachelor’s degree.
