Applications are been accepted for Romanian government scholarships for foreign students, that is citizens of non EU countries.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships cover three stages of study
Licenta: This stage lasts for about 3-6 years depending on the faculty involved and concludes with a final exam (licenta). This is meant for students of high school or its equivalent and those that require their studies to continue in Romania.
Master: This stage last for about 2 years and concludes with a dissertation. This is meant for graduates of university and post graduate courses.
Doctorate: This stage lasts for about 3-4 years and concludes with a doctor’s thesis. This is meant for graduates of university and post graduate courses.
The scholarship comprises of the following:
A monthly payment of
65 Euros for students in the Licenta stage
75 Euros for those in the Master stage
85 Euros for those in Doctorate
There will be free accommodation in the student’s hostels depending on its availability and finance of the institution.
It should be noted that the scholarship does not cost of food and transportation both local and international. Candidates will be responsible for such expenses.
About 85 scholarships will be awarded.
FIELD OF STUDY
Students who choose the following fields would have better chance of acceptance. political and administrative sciences, education studies, music, Romanian culture and civilization, technical studies, oil and gas, journalism, agricultural studies, veterinary medicine, architecture and arts
Citizen of non EU countries
Citizens from non EU states that do not have education and cultural cooperation agreements with Romania will be given priority.
Student should be capable and competent academically especially In their chosen field they intend to study.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications should be forwarded to diplomatic missions of Romania that are accredited to the candidates residence or origin or diplomatic mission of candidates state of origin accredited to Bucharest.
All applications should be in English or French, but most universities prefer all applications and documents be translated to Romanian.
Selection results will be disclosed by June 25 2015
